Bruce's Panel Shop was established by Bruce de Lange in February 2000 and is located in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. The company has grown significantly over the years, expanding from a small operation to a substantial 1,314 square metre shop. The shop is affiliated with several insurance companies, including Auto and General, Mutual and Federal, and Santam. It has also become the leading towing destination in the KZN region, serving as the largest customer in this area.
Recently, Bruce's Panel Shop underwent a thorough five-day assessment with the aim of improving various aspects of the business. The assessment concentrated on network enhancement, Line 100 installation support, and improving the overall customer experience in terms of throughput, quality, and working conditions. Initially, the health check indicated potential for increased throughput, but the assessment uncovered much more.
The project evolved into a significant cleanup and organisational effort, involving decluttering and implementing strict steps to maintain a tidy working environment. This initiative led the shop to construct a new primer multi-bay and additional storage space, facilitating the use of parts trolleys. These improvements have significantly enhanced the efficiency and working conditions at Bruce's Panel Shop, setting a new standard for quality and customer service.
